This iconic sideboard was designed by Tom Robertson for Mcintosh of Kirkcaldy in the mid-twentieth century. The popular dunvegan model sideboard offers not only an exceptional mid-century design but also acts as a functional storage piece with a spacious double cupboard drop-down drinks cabinet with a signature Mcintosh 'dry bar' pull out drinks tray and three spacious drawers. The piece has a beautiful rich teak grain, warm tones and rich colours throughout. The Seal (or Sælen) lounge chair, designed in 1956 by Ib Kofod-Larsen, is considered one of the most iconic examples of Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern design. Though designed by a Dane, it was originally produced for the Swedish manufacturer OPE (Olof Perssons Fåtöljindustri).One of Kofod-Larsen’s hallmarks was his ability to make heavy materials look light. The upholstered seat and backrest appear to "float" within the solid wood frame. They are held in place by elegant, visible joinery, creating a sense of transparency and lightness.
